These rabbits actually "multiply in the spectator's hand," one after the other. When Robert Nelson created this he didn't know what a sensation his sponge rabbits routine would be!

You display two sponge rabbits, Mama and Papa Rabbit. You place one in your hand and one in the hand of a spectator. Abracadabra! You open your hand to show that your rabbit has VANISHED!

You place the two large rabbits in the spectator's hands. And true to their nature, when the spectator opens their hand, the rabbits are seen to have reproduced.
